Cell Structure Vocabulary

Cell wall: the inner/outer layer of a cell.

DNA : dioxiderimbonucleicasid decided what the animal/plant is going to be. DNA is sort of like map, a blueprint map.

Photosynthesis: the process of making food from sugars, minerals, sunlight and water. It creates energy.

Endoplasmic Reticulum a net of membranes within the cytoplasm of a eukaryotic cell

Chromosomes a threadlike structure that are found within DNA.

Lysosmes: Organelles in the cytoplasm. They are organelles that catch the bad bacteria.

Golgi a complex of vesicles and folded membranes.They carry around molecules, like a bus.

Chloplasts: a plastid that contains chlorphill.
