Saturday morning expecting to see a witch like figure but instead of a scrawny evil like figure him and his other friend was greeted

And me hardly finished me dishes and I suppose you’ll like some tea
Judy: Hello miss bird,” its nice to see you again. How’s is the rheumatism?
Miss bird: Worse than it’s ever been
(Stops speaking)(Stare-Paddington) … what is it?
Judy: Its not a it it’s a who it’s a bear and his name is Paddington”
Paddington: (Paddington raised his hat)
Miss bird: A bear Well he has good manners ill give him that”
Judy: he’s going to stay with us.
Miss bird: Going to stay with us how long?
Judy: (looks around mysteriously) I don’t know it depends on things
Miss bird: Mercy me I wish you had told me I didn’t put down any sheets in the spare room.
Paddington: its all right miss bird I think I’m going to have a bath; I had an accident with a bun.
Miss bird: Oh! (Hold door open) well in that case you’d better comes in. only mind the carpet please it just been done
Paddington + Judy: (walk in)
Paddington: (looks around)
Judy: (holds Paddington’s paw) she really doesn’t mind (whispered) I think she rather likes you.
Paddington: (watch miss bird leave then) she seems a bit fierce.
Miss bird: (quickly) what was that you said?
Paddington: I…I..I
Miss bird: where was it you said you came. Peru?
Paddington: (in great esteem) That’s right. Darkest Peru
Miss bird- (huffs (humph) (look in the train of thought) then I expect you’ll want to some marmalade. I’ll get some form the grocer.
Judy- there you are … what did I tell you?
Miss bird- [shut the door]
Judy- see she does like you
Paddington – fancy her knowing I like marmalade
Judy-miss bird knows everything about everything…now you’d better come upstairs with me so I can show you your room. It used to be mine when I was little and it has pictures of bears on the wall so I feel that you will like it im sure it will make you feel right at home.
Narrator – the two walked up the stairs to Paddington’s new room
Paddington stayed closely behind.
Judy – that’s the bathroom, and that’s my room, and that’s Jonathan’s room --he’s my brother you’ll meet him later, and that’s mummy’s and daddies room.
Judy- (open door)
